Italian 1920's Walnut Armchairs / Lounge Chairs with Foot Stools
Italian 1920's pair of armchairs / lounge chairs and matching pair of foot stools / ottomans. From the early Art Deco period of Northern Italy, the rich walnut is finely carved and highlights the woods natural beauty, the armchairs backs are gracefully curved extending out to accentuate the curvature of the sloping arms. Resting on a walnut stretcher with ebonized ball finials on each side and resting atop ebonized bun feet. The contrast of the rich walnut and creamy cotton textured upholstery with brass nail heads are quite striking. The matching foot stools are a charming addition to the chairs and provide for great comfort and chicness! (Newly re-upholstered and restored). A uniquely hand-carved timeless and elegant set.
