Italian 1920's Carved Walnut Settee, Pair of Armchairs and Ottomans
An Italian 1920's living room suite comprising a settee, pair of armchairs and pair of ottomans. From the early Art Deco period of Northern Italy, the rich walnut is finely carved and highlights the woods natural beauty, the settee and armchairs backs are gracefully curved extending out to accentuate the curvature of the sloping arms. Resting on a walnut stretcher with ebonized ball finials on each side and resting atop ebonized bun feet. The contrast of the rich walnut and creamy cotton upholstery are quite striking. (Newly re-upholstered and restored). A unique hand-carved timeless and elegant set.
